Key Points:
- Implementation in Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Himachal Pradesh:
• This new functionality, developed by GSTN, has been implemented in Rajasthan as of January 7, 2025 and in Tamil Nadu and Himachal Pradesh on 28th January 2025.
- Document Verification and Appointment Booking:
• Upon submitting the Application for Registration in Form GST REG-01, applicants will receive one of the following links via e-mail:
(a) Link for OTP-based Aadhar Authentication: Applicants can proceed using the existing process.
(b) Link for Appointment Booking: Applicants will receive a message to visit a designated GST Suvidha Kendra (GSK) for Biometric-based Aadhar Authentication and document verification, along with GSK and jurisdiction details.
- OTP-based Aadhar Authentication:
• If the applicant receives the link for OTP-based authentication, they may follow the established process for completing their registration.
- Booking an Appointment at GSK:
• Applicants receiving the appointment link must book a visit to the designated GSK using the provided link.
• The appointment confirmation will be sent via e-mail, detailing the chosen schedule.
- Documents Required for GSK Visit:
Applicants must carry the following:
• Hard/soft copy of the appointment confirmation e-mail.
• Jurisdiction details as mentioned in the intimation e-mail.
• Original Aadhar Card and PAN Card.
• Original documents uploaded with the application, as communicated in the intimation e-mail.
- Biometric Authentication and Document Verification:
• Biometric authentication and document verification will be conducted for all required individuals listed in the GST application Form REG-01 at the GSK.
- ARN Generation:
• After completing the biometric authentication and document verification, the system will generate the Application Reference Number (ARN).
- Appointment Timelines:
• Appointments for biometric verification must be scheduled within the permissible period specified in the intimation e-mail.
GSK Operating Hours:
• GST Suvidha Kendras will operate as per the state administration’s guidelines on working days and hours.
